"Stylish vintage Carlton Ware - hand painted shaped dish for dresser display decorated with a classic Art Deco Autumn Trees and Fern pattern. Note the stylized and typical Carlton Ware, age of jazz, trees and branches. Carlton Ware are famous for doing their own thing and producing these quirky, unusual pots full of style. References: Carlton Ware is the brand name of Wiltshaw and Robinson Ltd. who made this piece at the Carlton Works, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire around 1930-32. Autumn Trees and Fern is the actual factory name used for this pattern.
Dimensions: width 250 mm max.
Marks: as illustrated, printed mark and pattern number 3517.
Condition: Very good condition for display with no damages to pottery.  Some typical glaze crazing to dish and minor surface patchiness-rubbing wear to enamels (black) in places.
