"Beautiful antique stoneware jug by Lovatt of Langley Mill with an abstract speckled glaze hand decorated pattern which is reminiscent of the 1930s art deco period Ruskin pottery pieces. Decoration is particularly successful on this exquisitely shaped vase. This is a rare piece in our experience - the only example we have seen. The ideal size for decorative display - it dates we estimate from c.1931 to 1939." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.
