Belleek Shamrock teaset cream jug and sugar bowl Second Black mark c. 1891-1926

"An attractive and hard to find early Second Black mark Belleek Shamrock tea set cream jug and sugar. A beautiful late Victorian or Edwardian antique set - dating close to 1891 - with distinct lustre finish to the glaze and exceptionally crisp and well defined basketweave moulding. These delicate items of porcelain are like eggshell. A super set for display and now too precious to use! A great addition to your Irish Belleek collection." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.

Dimensions: width cream jug 110 mm max. height sugar bowl 64 mm max.
Marks: Second Black mark dating 1891-1926 as illustrated.
Condition: A great display item.  Condition report: There is tiny patch of wear to enamel of jug handle and a small rim chip to the sugar bowl. A section of the sugar bowl has been broken and skillfully restuck. This is clean and near invisible on the outside and difficult to spot. A little more obvious on the inside shadow of the bowl as a faint line of modern adhesive.  A good clean stable  repair. There are several small pieces of kiln grit stuck to the glaze to the base of both pieces. This is typically found on pieces of this period.
