A RARE LONDON LAMBETH DELFT TIN-GLAZED EARTHENWARE PLATE C.1740

"A London Lambeth tin-glazed plate decorated in blue and white with chinoiserie landscape. A plate with the same pattern and basic elements, which appears to be painted by the same hand, is illustrated in English Delftware by Garner and Archer plate 71B. Identification and attribution of English Delft or tin-glazed earthenware, to specific areas and maker is always difficult. Unusual therefore to find an early example with such an authoritative reference." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.
