GRAY'S POTTERY STAFFORDSHIRE ART DECO  HAND PAINTED  DECO-BANDED TRIO  PATTERN NO. 8793 C.1931

"A striking hand painted Art deco banded pattern trio of cup, saucer and tea plate decorated by Gray's Pottery on a Johnsons Brothers blank. This classic Susie Cooper influenced pattern is a wonderful example of art deco period design and dates from 1931 - after her time at Gray's pottery: it copies the similar contemporary Susie Cooper patterns produced elsewhere. Dimensions: height cup 75 mm max. width saucer 141 mm max. width plate 163 mm max.
Marks: to base of pieces as illustrated.
Condition: In excellent condition and great ffor display with good fresh looking enamel decoration. There are typical traces of rubbing wear to enamels and rim and small minor  imperfections to pottery/glaze from munifacture. You are unlikely to find a set in better condition. No restoration. This is a wonderful art deco Staffordshire set.
