Pinxton English antique porcelain teabowl and saucer Carnation pattern c.1790

"An interesting c.1800 Pinxton English porcelain hand painted fluted teabowl and saucer. The classic Carnation or Gillyflower flower style pattern consists of a large central flower head monochrome hand painted in a distinctive chocolate brown enamel: a colour found on other early Pinxton Cottage Sprigs patterns. A good, rarely seen, reference and display antique and the only example of this pattern we have offered." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.
